Alone since just a child, Nissa was not about to go by her title- Princess. Afraid of her own people, this fairy wasn't about to rely on anyone else to protect her. So how did she end up asking an archangel to take her to mate? Then again, maybe it wasn't simply for protection since her body wanted this big, gorgeous male with muscles?

Oldest of the Lehor males, Ramiel has always been the "protector". His needs have always come after those of his duty and family, but he's not sure he likes the idea of "duty" being becoming mated to a fairy Princess to get an alliance with the fairy armies. Although there is something about Nissa that seems to pull as well as repel- or is it only the thought of being mated that terrifies the hunky angel?

It seems fate can often provide vast entertainment when it comes to picking our heart's desire for us. I do like the irony that has abounded throughout this series when it comes to the "unexpected". I was doubtful if the series could stay "fresh" through nine books and though some of it was at times tame, with droll wit and humor Ms. Hecht managed to keep the entertainment level above par. I am curious to see just how far the series can go before she runs out of new ideas and that "freshness". The characters have developed into people I can identify with, want to support, laugh with and still watch them grow into their own individualism.
