With a drive to "picture" life in all it's terrible, graphic detail, Alyssa Campini met McKade while traversing the city photographing the reality of street gangs and while he may be one hot cop, he's also an overbearing pain in the patoot. But lordy, lordy the man has one quality that makes her quake with need; the ability to rock her world with incredible sex- as long as he keeps that mouth of his concentrated on that and not trying to run her life.

For some unknown reason, Shane McKade thinks it's his job to protect Alyssa's life- even though she's told him vehemently to stay the hell out of her affairs. So why is he waking up, handcuffed to the witchy photographer and not really concerned with getting free? But when he gets shot trying to help one of the kids she's gotten close to, he knows it's time for both of them to quit running- from life, fear and each other.

There's nothing like a book that grabs with a bit of humor, clasps with some smoking sex, entwines some graphic reality, spikes the suspense and drama and drives you crazy with the twists and turns that render in the finality a read that makes it imperative to get to the last page in one go. A woman who is strong in many ways except in the belief of what and who she is, a man who learns her and leads her gently to find "her" and a great suspenseful tale to wrap around it. What more could you want?
