Hayley Williams, works at the Home Office by day, is moonighting as tea-leaf reading gypsy Madam Deveraux by night. Although originally a fake fortune teller, she has a natural gift as an intuitive listener and has become pretty good telling fortunes through tea leaves. So much so her friend Suzie invites Hayley to attend a conference she is organising, as Madam Deveraux. Here she meets a man, Sam Norville, who she has met before, only, he knows her as Helen. Hey, she panicked. He is famous after all, and she wasn't looking into getting into another relationship. But at the conference, disguised as Madam Deveraux, she panics again, and not wanting to spoil her chances with him, and reveal who really is under her gypsy costume, she then spontaneously tells him her name is Harriet. This girl just can't help herself! She's so impulsive!

Confused? Poor Sam is. His family have a belief, a strange tradition, they fall in love at first sight with their chosen ones. He really likes Helen, but he hasn't seen her for a while, and if his family are right, he can't understand why is he attracted to Harriet as well? To add to his worries, if he keeps seeing both of these women, one of them is going to get hurt. Eventually, he's going to have to choose one over the other. No wonder the poor chap's confused!

Looks like Hayley, Madam Deveraux, Helen and Harriet have got some explaining to do, but you know what it's like. Once a little white lie comes out, it multiplies until it gets out of control. Sooner or later, Hayley is going to have to tell him the truth, and what could be worse than trying to explain that one to him?

I found Tea for Two to be a fun read, where only Hayley, her friend and the reader are privy to the truth. You just know she's heading for a fall, and that's exactly what kept me reading on. It's also very romantic, with some memorable scenes, and it intrigued me right to the end. A surprise twist involving her jealous sister Abbey, raises some serious, heart rendering issues for Hayley to deal with. Then there's the blackmail, revenge and more lies and the totally happy ending. Phew! All in all, this book just proves to me, once again, what a talented author Shelley Munro is. A fine romance.
