If you're running from someone who wants you dead, where do you hide? Emma Garcia decides to hide in the middle of nowhere by working as a cook on a horse farm, hoping to make enough to keep herself safe. What she doesn't count on is the immediate and lasting lust for the owner. Now the question is how long can she resist him and still stay safe?

Having been a Marine, Caleb Ryder knows enough about people to know that Emma isn't what she appears to be. But worrying that his men will revolt if he doesn't get a decent cook, he decides to hire her anyway; besides he just can't turn away someone so obviously afraid. Hopefully she'll learn to trust him enough for him to help.

Love on the run is always interesting, but Ms. Reus has given us compassion, fear, humor, and really wow lovemaking to turn this into a gripping read that made me want to find and protect her, too. Throw in a baddie who is obnoxious as well as cold-blooded and it becomes even better. This one is a really good read.
