Treatment was possible but the Zacoris had given her drugs that changed her body chemistry and it was not reversible. If he had just admitted he wanted her she would never have been in that position, and if she had admitted she had been wanting him for years things would have been so much different. By tomorrow morning she would have to report for testing and any amount of conversion over thirty percent would send her into exile for the rest of her life. It was the only safe and
humane way to deal with the depravity of those converted. She only had one night with Kandos only a few hours for them to make memories for a lifetime.
This was an intense night of passion and sorrow as they tried to pack in so much feeling in to the short amount of time they were allowed. The love was outstanding, and the sadness, and guilt Kandos felt so real, even if misplaced. I don't normally get this much emotion in the futuristic romances and was impressed with the love they showed to each other. A very hot and sweet story.
