Lynn has trouble with depression and anxiety attacks, she has gained weight and her health is deteriorating, so her doctor and good friend teams up with her daughter
for the Ranch owner Seth has different ideas. He is a psychologist who runs a summer camp for kids who need a firm hand and some behaviour adjustments. Part of Lynn's job is baking bread, lots of bread, she must also spend time with the kids in organized activity and she must fulfil the exercise requirements that are part of the camp philosophy. She chafes at the daily water aerobics and 10 laps she must swim, and resents that she has been thoroughly duped. They butt heads from the beginning, and she demands he find a replacement, but can he find one on such short notice?
Wonderfully written romantic tale suitable for all audiences. The interaction between the main characters is authentic and meaningful, and the sub characters fit in very well. It is a thoroughly good read from beginning to end. It does not have a lot of surprises or twists but delivers the basic heart and sole of a romance classic.
About the Author:
Linda LaRoque is a retired teacher who loves West Texas, its flora and fauna, and its people. Her stories paint pictures of life, love, and learning set against the raw landscape of ranches and rural communities in Texas. Linda is a member of RWA, her local chapter of Heart of Texas RWA, where she serves as secretary and is president elect for 2007, DARA, North Texas RWA, and Davis Mountain Trail Writers. She lives in Central Texas with her husband and their dog Molly.
