SASSY BLOG MEME: What's on your desk Wednesday? (17th June)

What's on your desk Wednesday? is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Sassy Brit of Alternative-Read.com

Check my blog out each Wednesday for the post titled What's on your desk Wednesday?

Here's what you do:

Grab a camera and take a photo of your desk! Or anywhere you stack your books/TBR pile. And no tidying!


Add this photo to your blog.

Tag at least 5 people!

Come back here and leave a link back to your photo in the comments section.

That's it.

However, for those without digital cameras or blogs of your own, you can do this instead: (or both if you are keen!)

List at least 5 BOOKISH things on your desk (I'm thinking your TBR pile or books you haven't shelved...)

List at least 5 NON BOOK things. (I'm thinking some of some of the more unusual items on your desk/table?)

Tag at least 5 people to do the same.

Here's my answer to What's on your desk Wednesday?

As usual, I've completed both, the photo and the list!

Currently on my desk...rodents!

List at least 5 BOOKISH things on your desk:
1. To Your Own Self Be True, by Ray Melnik
2. Kingdom Come, by J.G. Ballard
3. The Charmer, by Mandasue Heller
4. Relentless, by Simon Kernick
5. Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen without zombies!


List at least 5 NON BOOK things. (I'm thinking some of some of the more unusual items on your desk/table?)

1. A gerbil cage
2. Sandy - a gerbil
3. Snowy - another gerbil
4. sawdust
5. gerbil poo
6. chewed up paperwork
7. disinfectant on standby!

Yes, as I am trying to work, my son's gerbils are busy with their inspections of my desk and computer. They have shredded anything that takes their fancy and have just discovered they can hurl themselves off the desk onto the floor, via my printer, for the pure fun of it! But they are oh, soooo cute!

    Ah Kate,

    there is a non-camera and non-desk owner variant - basically it's where ever you lay your books - not your hat! But if you wear a hat, chances are you may lay it down on the same place as your books...which is neither here or there...

    Sassy - I got to it, but I took you literally and used my desk, so not many books. I have a TBR "list" rather than a pile, and since we're trying to sell the house, most of the clutter had to be packed away. Books are either boxed up in storage or neatly arranged on bookshelves. Boring -- but required.
