Ketera Aldrancos was on a desperate mission to save her father, but is shipwrecked amongst a people she has been raised to fear. But she also knows that what they teach her people is wrong for her body couldn't possibly respond to an enemy, a true enemy, could it? Yet she has been taught that passions are sinful. But what do the things of the past tell the archaeologist in her?
It's not every day a Daryk One finds a woman floating among the debris of a shipwreck, but Dane Charger is not about to turn down the opportunity to take this one back to his encampment. Until he realizes that his half brother has plans of his own for any survivors found upon the beach. Since she is from the "enemy camp" Dane knows he must watch closely this woman he plans to share many pleasing moments with.
But can he overcome two centuries of prejudice and distrust? I liked the fact that though it was a lovely place far away, there was still a reality to it of distrust, prejudice and lies perpetrated and perpetuated by those in power who feared what might happen if people or beings actually had intelligent conversations with each other. With a bit of hot sex to liven, racism to tempt thought, wit, humor and logic, Ms Agnew gave me a tale that I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked Ketera's spunky personality, and Dane's tough but gentle protectiveness. It was one to enjoy again.
