Brendan is a true submissive and he's fallen fast and hard for the lovely woman he met at the wedding. The biggest stumbling block to their relationship is that not only does Chloe not "get" what he is, she's not even remotely inclined to the lifestyle. As much as it will tear his heart out, Brendan would never ask her to try to be something she is not cut out for.

A plot within a plot, sensitive man to die for, trauma, tragedy, and a nice look into a lifestyle that people "hear" about, but can be easily misled over. Whether all the details are true or poetic license they certainly read true, while with style and grace one is drawn into the drama that is the heroine's life and the hero's unique attempt to play knight in shining armor. There is an intensity and depth that kept me reading and made it hard to put down.
