Teaser Tuesday, a blog meme hosted by MizB on Should Be Reading.
So here is my Teaser for Tuesday: HORROR!!!! (NOT for the squeamish, or easily offended, but you'll probably read it anyway! :)
As I was Cutting & Other Nastinesses,
L.V. Rautenbaumgrabner
Pg. 14 of an ARC so it may be different
New Pulp Press
For those that dare, check out the publisher's site and read a chapter there...
This is the book I am currently reading, alongside several others. I wanted to share some of this, but was a little dubious about the reaction I would receive. Picking out the good sentences, meant possibly offending someone, and lets say my choices were limited - not for good bits, but non-offensive! Hopefully, this tease isn't at all too horrific, although it's hardly a romantic day out making daisy-daisy chains with the one you love. I shall wait and see. Basically the whole book has the same tone, and murderous theme. Great for hardened horror fans like myself! I liked this teaser, because it shows the nastiness of the one of the many short stories in Rautenbaumgrabner's book, but it also displays the author's humour, which I thought made more of an impact with the overall read.
What's your tease for Tuesday?

After locking the door on his side, he went around to the drivers side and pushed his father's body down onto the seat so it couldn't be seen from the outside. Dennis didn't want to scare any little kids walking around or even grown-ups who might get a glimpse of the partially headless man.Taken from:

Great teaser! I'm pretty sure a partially headless man in a car would be enough to scare anybody!
ReplyDeleteSo sensitive to the little kids around!
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is here
Hi Chrissie! Yes, it's one thing to read about it, but another to see it! LOL
ReplyDeleteHello Marg,
ReplyDeleteYes absolutely! Very thoughtful young man, indeed. His mother obviously brought him up right!
:)
Quite considerate of him not to want to frighten the young by the sight of a slightly headless man. Intriguing teaser.
ReplyDeleteSuch a caring chap, hey, Jennifer? :)
ReplyDeleteHaha great teaser! Thanks for visiting The Crowded Leaf.

ReplyDeleteWow, that's really bizarre - fancy having a headless body but owrrying about what others will think when they see it!
