When a lover that Marduk can only feel takes her to heights she's never reached before, she's not sure if she can handle the rush of feelings he leaves her exposed to. Now if she could just figure out how to make him real, but sometimes love doesn't require solidity as much as blind faith and a bit of smarts.
Being alone for three hundred and fifty years does not make Decatur prepared for the emotions that Marduk unleashes within his battered heart. No one in that long existence has ever made him want more than the simple act of sex, until now. Only there's a lunatic in the mix who has plans that neither intend to honor.
While I found Marduk to be a strong, feisty woman like most of Ms. Jones characters, I have to say that in my humble opinion Decatur was not only a bit "scattered", but not as much of an alpha as her men usually are. This is still a fun, pleasant read and it was still full of enough steamy sex to make the other small detractors negligible.
