When one goes looking for a new life, new neighbors, friends and experiences are part of the package. Unless the new life includes magic, mermaids, vampires and numerous other beings which you've only read about in fairy tales- including the beloved garden gnomes you've created that are now animated; by you.
Abby had no idea the extent her role in the new neighborhood would be, but what she didn't expect was someone out to put a stop to her before she's even settled in properly. At least she has the gorgeous warlock next door keeping an eye (and hands when possible) on her.
This book was just plain good fun. I was a bit concerned at the beginning that it might become static and plain, but Ms. Grace not only surprised me with a story that was complete in its depth, but also in it's humanity considering that most of the characters aren't- human that is. There were twists that took me in different directions at unexpected times, but they never took me out of the story itself and it never floundered. I laughed, smiled and totally enjoyed this one in all its complexity.
