Do you remember Murphy's Law? You know- the one that says whatever can go wrong, will. Well poor Trina Sackette is about to run into it in spades when her deceased, incorporeal ancestors decide she needs to find her "forever love"; with their help of course.
Apartment manager, Jarrett Marlin finds the sassy female who needs him to look for her crown (tooth crown that is) which she lost down the bathroom sink very alluring, which is odd since she sprays spittle on him every time she speaks. Add to that the men constantly coming on to her gratis of her ghostly ancestors and he knows he's in trouble.
Fina and Josie have spent hundreds of years trying to outrun the inimitable Murphy. It seems every time they help their kin find their one and only, Murphy takes the greatest pleasure in throwing up relentless roadblocks to their happiness, in the most astonishing ways.
Loving, see-thru ancestors, bad-ass ghostly menaces, every type of trial and tribulation imaginable, a strong dose of hilarity mixed with some intense sex and actual suspenseful moments are woven together to create a rip-roaring romp with some serious undertones to make this a read that not only made me laugh, but wonder just how things would finally work out for not just the living, but the un-living as well.
