When her brother Will does something incredibly dumb she is forced to make a bargain with the most feared being on Hole in order to survive. Yet it just may be the best bargain she has ever made.
As a Xorn, Lynx is not only the largest being on Hole, he is also an incredibly luscious looking one. From the first time he sees Charlie he knows that she is the only one who can satisfy his Thirst. So when an opportunity presents itself for him to slake it, he takes advantage of it. Now if he can just make her understand it is so much more than just lust.
Mmmm, luscious guys, unique rituals, eternal devotion were just the beginning of the things I found in this book. There was also the incredibly intricate weaving of a relationship between a sister protecting her brother, a man loving a woman, and a woman learning to let herself love a man. Oh, and if you ever find a man who suffers from the Thirst, you better grab him honey (just pray you survive, but what a way to go!). It was altogether a real treat of a read.
