The history of a curse is fraught with bloody battles, bitter hatred, and dark secrets.

Through five generations, two ghosts of war haunt the Wise Women. Since the Rebellion of Glenna, their curse slept bound in the phantom of Goddard McCleod, who now waits in the Tunnels of the Dead, for the chance to re-awaken this battle between the Wood People and Dalthwein Clans.

Claire, a distraught young Wise Woman born in the sacred valley of the fae, unwittingly helps him escape imprisonment, while her twin sister, Anna, receives psychic glimpses of ancient secrets she must unravel. With her Scribe teacher, Rosalind, she also struggles to uncover the reasons behind Claire's strange behavior, ever escalating since the death of their Guild Mother, Grianne.

The Age of the Wise Women will cease, if the curse does not end with Anna and Claire. They have inherited the mistakes of their ancestors, and, for these witch twins, perhaps the suffering has only begun?

Louise Bohmer

Bio: Born in the winter of 1976 in a small town in British Columbia, Canada, Ms. Bohmer's fascination with all things obscure and unknown started at an early age. Her love of horror blossomed at the age of four while watching the 1970's version of Dracula, starring Frank Langella. Although she was more interested in Renefield's disgusting taste for bugs than she was in the suave Count.

Louise first picked up the pen, or rather an antique British typewriter, in her younger years. By her teens, she had moved into poetry and short story composition.

Ms. Bohmer is the Editor-in-Chief of Lachesis Publishing, senior editor with LBF Books, and she also edits for other small press companies in addition to working as a contributing editor with Marked in Red Professional Editing Services.

Her dark and erotic fiction has been published in Black Ink Horror Magazine, Alien Skin Magazine, Ruthie's Club, Whiskey Creek Press and Whiskey Creek Press Torrid, and Into the Dreamlands. Her debut novel, The Black Act, will also be published through Lachesis in April 2009.
