When hula dancer Bobby Kikawa has a chance to dance in a show with the famous, mysterious, number one male hula dancer Kimo Wilder, he's going for it with arms wide open. For, Bobby has plans; big plans that include the "Phantom Lover" from the painting that's driven him crazy for months out of his clothes and in Bobby's bed.

Not only is Kimo Wilder "straight" as well as married, but never has a Keeper of Secrets ever had a same sex mate. Now he must figure out where not only his heart but his future lies, for his goddess MUST be obeyed and Kimo is ever her obedient child as the tattoos he proudly bears attest.

The stories of the old ones, the places, rituals, beliefs make this a read not to be missed. I was especially impressed with the described differences between traditional and commercial hula shows. The intricacies of treading the paths of their religions, the love they bear for not only each other but their entire families is incredible. It is a wonderful read.
