If every time you see fresh blood you drop in a "dead faint", becoming a vampire might not top your list of priorities. If it's that or truly dead, Billie Joyce Nolan figures vamp is something she can live with. Now, Daniel is another matter completely and she makes no bones about letting him know it

Older than dirt and mentor to the woman who saved Billie from dying, Daniel Cedric Phillips is not sure which of the backwoods woman's habits he finds most annoying. Passing out every time they try to feed her has got to come close to the top of the list, however. Now if he could just figure out why he was so attracted to her.

This has been one of the most FUN reads I've had in a bit. I truly enjoyed watching the way all these wonderfully weird and wacky characters played off one another while pulling together a storyline that was cohesive, well rounded and yet entertaining. I love a story that can make me laugh aloud as I read and this one did several times. I hope to read more from Ms. Leaf.
