Chase was engaged to Angel but was not interested in marrying her. It was what their families wanted. When he met Mercy he was drawn to her. He did not care that she was a vampire and was not afraid of her. All he could think of was making her his.
This is a first person account of Mercy's struggle to accept love from a mortal. It also contains the fight to survive as Angel tries to kill her. Will she give in to Chase's desire to join her in eternal darkness, or turn away from his love to save his life? The sex is hot, the suspense keeps you on edge and the battle for survival is dramatic.
