Ryan Connors is nearly as confused as Jordan. He's on the road to Castleview with no clue why, and he never even stopped to pick up a change of clothes on his way out the door. Then he literally runs into Jordan's car. As soon as he finds out about her sister Bridget's disappearance, he knows he can't leave. Not only is he reluctant to abandon the search, but he doesn't want to leave Jordan.
Jordan and Ryan are left to tackle two Gods, one cursed and one merely demanding, a pissed-off Goddess, and three female justices known as the Norn. I truly enjoyed this well-choreographed romp through the Wonderland of Ms. Leigh's imagination. Whether it's Odin busy spying on Jordan and Ryan's sex play, or Jordan's mother tangling with another God—this one cursed—subtle humor abounds. The sexual scenes are grand, and the ending all I could hope for.
