Zamiel, rogue raptvyn, healer, and talons-for-hire mercenary to other flocks, finds that in saving another raptvyn's life he may in an emotional way have saved his own. Having deliberately lived a solitary existence, the "Shunned One" now finds himself drawn to the young male he found battered, torn, and left for dead. How does a male who has denied his feelings for even Mitzi, deal with the fact that he's suddenly thinking traditional trio? It's an adjustment that takes time, patience and understanding on the part of all of them.

Mitzi, a huntress from Bobek's flock, is Zamiel's friend and lover. She wants a traditional trio with Zamiel and the young raptvyn he saved, who is already a friend of hers. Only she has to wait for Arno to tell Zamiel that he is from the flock that gave him the Shunning Scars and banished him and his mother when he was a fledgling. She's a strong female ready to fight for what she wants.

Arno, blond, sleek, ambushed. Suffering massive injury, including loss of an eye, he's rescued by Zamiel who has been taught healing arts by his mentor,Toni. The emotions Arno raises in Zamiel are the beginning of the freeing of his heart.

I found Raptvyn's Rogue an incredible read.Yes, there are sex (steamy, lusty) scenes, some of which are man-love and some which are menage, but the entire book I found to be full of everything needed to keep me enthralled. There is treachery, attempted murder, compromise, but best of all there is humor. When Zamiel shape-shifts and has to wear clothes for the first time I found it really funny. They get to run naked when they take their human form in their world. Lucky them. The downside is that they struggle with their relationships (we think it's bad with just two of us!), their place in the community, and everything that we as humans face in our own every day struggle, but in a different form. The depth and intensity of the story simply make this a book to read again when you need something to stimulate your imagination. Good reading and great fun to all of you.
