Melissa Blake thought she had escaped her engagement to Barry Spencer by moving to London. She was not ready to settle into his life and be nothing but a baby machine. His four brothers already had twenty-two kids and she knew he wanted to keep up the trend when he flushed her birth control pills down the toilet.

Now he had found her in London and was coming to get her. She called Alex Ryan to enlist his help as a pretend fiancé to convince Barry it was over, but he did not return her call so she was forced to try the only other alternative available. She begged Thomas Danville to help her even though he was married, his wife Elizabeth was understanding, and very pregnant with twins, but it was just an act for a few days.

Thomas goaded his cousin Richard Danville into helping Melissa. Thomas was not going to leave his wife this close to the end of her term, and he felt Richard had unfinished business with Melissa anyway. Richard and Melissa had spent a night together and he had blown it, of course he could say that Melissa was over reacting. But calling a woman by a different name in the middle of climax usually spells the end. Richard was willing to use this opportunity to make that second chance happen.

This is a wonderful interlocking story of love. Of trying to stop the insane ex into doing something radical to get back that which he perceived was his, and trying at the same time to create a relationship that was real instead of pretend. Richard and Melissa go head to head a few times but the passion in the bedroom is outstanding. The intrigue as they deal with the ex is brilliant. The story is erotic and keeps the blood pumping as the reader hopes for a outcome in which everyone (except the ex) wins.
