Remington (Rem) was member of the retired Special Forces Unit
sometimes called the Ghost Unit. The six man team were in many ways closer than brothers. The commander, Gray Winston still called them together when a need arose for their special skills. The woman he has hungered after for three and a half years is now in trouble. After overhearing that she had her heart set on someone that would be at his party tonight he decided he had to make his move. When he finally approached her he made a royal mess of things. Then he finds out someone tried to kill her, and also plans to kidnap his sister Tammy.

Kathryn and Tammy were always in trouble and Rem had rescued them the first time and she was in love with the idea of him, but knew he was way out of her league. Because of that she did everything she could around him to down play her interest including dressing in clothing that hid her fabulous body. If he would ever consider her as a person she might have hope to win his heart, but she needed him to see past the body and want all of her. His aggression earlier at the party confirmed what she knew all along and now she was going to have to stay in his company for her protection until the threat to her life was taken care of.

A dramatic story unlike the first in the series, but an excellent addition. There is a complexity to the relationship that is built on misunderstanding, which is usually the case. In this story it makes the reader want to reach in and explain things to the characters, but in the end we can only keep reading and pray that the author really is going to have everything work out. The dynamics of the Ghost Unit come together in this book to the extent you really begin to see them as a family. It certainly leaves the reader wanting to know more about the other members.
