Kimberly was the Senator's daughter and so there were certain restrictions placed upon her behaviour. Even worse were the expectations of her trust fund orginally established several generations ago that would give her Brier Cliff if she stuck to its rigid stipulations. She had to be a virgin on her wedding night and her father had to approve her husband or she lost it all. She only had to wait five more years for the trust to expire and then she would win without having him dictate her future. She needed release, sexual release so she joined a highly secretive men's club. Every month or so she would arrive and allow one of the single men to have her, oh not her virginity, and not her emotions.

Then Jared showed up and things changed. He was technically her step-brother for the last year since their parents wed but he stirred things in her she did not know were there and threatened all her control. Jared had not known much about the trust, but he had been trying to win her attention since they had met. When he saw at his private club all bets were off. He now knew she was not the ice queen everyone thought but the sensual woman he had hoped she would be. Nothing would stop him from fulfilling her every desire and his as well. But, as much as he wanted her, the trust fund would stand in the way. He could not bring himself to make her choose, he would have to wait, and love her in the mean time.

We had a glimpse of Kimberly in the last book as Sax took her to the limit at The Club. As one of the few female members of the exclusive men's club it was a treat. Now she is in a complicated situation that the Trojan may not be able to get her out of. This is in this story an intense understanding of Kimberly's need for love, much more so than the sexual release she seeks. Jared seems to intimately understand that and it makes a compelling story. The passion is insatiable and the heart is torn apart again and again as forces outside of them control their lives. Another wonderful addition to the series.
