Colonel Conrad DeWitt likes to take control and he thinks he know what Cindy wants. They had just met at her sister's and his brother's wedding but he was meant to conquer her before he left on a mission to the middle east.

He confronts Cindy with really personal question about her love life and when she denies she finds him attractive, threatens to spank her. Although he is crude and direct she finds her body responding and is scared to death to be alone with him, knowing she is likely to succumb to his form of seduction. What he wants is obedience, verbal bondage, mental captivity, all obtained without whips and chains. He wants to command her completely.

It is an interesting take on BDSM with the an emphasis on the mental bondage instead of the physical restraints and punishment. I found it highly erotic and intense. It calls for a true dominant that can truly read his sub and understand her need to submit to his will. It has some twists in which he comes to need her submission in order to regain his self-worth. His entire manhood is threatened and she must force him to dominate her. Well written and interesting to the end.
