Vampires are after Cecelia Barnes because of the work she is doing to find a cure for genetic blood diseases. If her work is successful it will mean the death for all vampires. Of course she is not aware vampires even exist or that her work is threatening to them, but they want her stopped at all costs.

Julian Mansfield is one of those vampires who has been watching her. His plan is however, not to kill her but to get to know her and convince her to stop her work. In order to do that he must first save her life from the other vampires who attack her.

A well written sassy love story. The verbal nipping at each other makes for a fun story, I can really get into the characters and I love them. Who wouldn't want a witty hunk of a vampire on her side, when everyone else seems to be against her. I loved it and the sexy episodes were wonderful. A definite re-read in the future. I look forward to more from Quinn.
