Ava Summerlin has a dream- to leave Pleasure Planet and have a normal life. The problem is that it's a most unlikely dream and reality sucks; life for a half-breed means that she's basically a nonentity-not allowed even the simplest of pleasures. What an irony to live on a planet designed for pleasure and be denied any at all.
Being a Cyborg makes Tristan the perfect choice as Commander of the expedition to find the remainder of their scattered people. However, things get a little sidetracked when his heart demands that he take Ava as his. It doesn't matter who she is or if it puts their mission in jeopardy, he must do what his heart says.
Even though this was a bit short it was an enjoyable read, though I must say the opening was the hook that made me read it all the way through. Kudos to Ms.Havlir for that because it was definitely one of the most (ah-hmmmm) eye-catching ones I've read in a bit. Instead of being a "standard" fare it has enough humor, hot sex and above all a good plot to make it one to keep and read again. I hope there are others coming our way?
