The Isle of Altair was overrun by a warrior race who needed a place to settle that had an abundance of women. Their race was dying out and this was their only hope. Since they conquered without regard for the women of Altair the priestess cursed them until the time the Guardians would arise. Five women would arise as Guardians, one of fire, earth, water, and air and the fifth a mystic who would unite them. Until that time they would have to battle hard to keep the land they had taken. Now the time has arrived and the first Guardian the one of earth had mated the Savaris warriors and was fully realizing her powers.

The Island Guardians continue with the claiming of the Guardian of Fire. Farrah was of the red caste the keepers of fire. Always gathering wood and keeping the village fires, and home fires kindled and ready. At the age of thirteen she found that she could control the fire and even make fire in her palms. When attacked by a warrior at eighteen she had burned his palms when he had grabbed a hold of her. He wanted revenge and planned to claim her as mate when she was twenty-one so he could forever force her to submit to him and his brother.

Her Aunt Asme, princess of the Island of Altar sent her to the other side of the island to meet with the Guardian of Earth to be protected and trained. Marcus and Alexi Donan encountered Farrah just as she was about to meet her protector, but they claimed her before she could get to Erika. Bannen the third brother would be sorry he missed this but the claim would stand and she would be mated to all three brothers.

The triplets Marcus, Bannen and Alexi will definitely have their hands full with the Guardian of Fire. Since they claim her without knowing her and she without even knowing their names they are in hot water from the beginning. They must win her trust and love while igniting her passion in a way that does not stir her anger any more. She holds out the secret for way to long in their mind, but only because they are not exactly open to communication. They are way too busy keeping up with the physical communications. It is a wonderful sequel and I look forward to the next Guardian to appear.
