Great story but I expected more
Jess the only boy in a household of girls, is a loner in school, his only outlet is his art notebook where he can draw anything he can imagine. Leslie moves in next door and after beating him in a foot race she wins his friendship with her vivid imagination.
Together they become friends and discover a wonderful place to escape the trouble they each have in their school and home life. As they fight the forces in this new world they find that together they can face their troubles at home and make life better. They learn to appreciate true friendship wherever it is found.
A good wholesome movie with many layers of emotional growth through tough times in childhood. Mature children will relate well to the characters lives. It is billed as a movie by the same studio as the Chronicles of Narnia but its content is more in keeping with Disney Channel Movie instead of a Feature Film.
The character based story line is developed slowly and there is not enough imagery (eye candy) to keep the young child interested through the character development. The two main characters were likeable, but their adventures in Terabithia left something to be desired.
