That bad boyfriend, Jack, is dead in the trunk of the car. Talk about bringing your old baggage into your next relationship... That is, if she makes it.
Hurricane Katrina is at her heels, and though she thinks she knows how this fairy tale ends, there are no guarantees on this yellow brick road-trip. Her mind is deteriorating as quickly as Jack’s body.

Well...this was one of the darkest books I have read. Initially, I stick with the book because I wanted to know why she killed Jack and what she was going to do with his decomposing body. I also strangely wanted to know whether George should she reach him, take her back. That being said...it's one thing to 'see' a horror movie and get a flash or a view of the horror that is taking place and it's a while other experience to read in such great and morbid detail what it is you cannot see, thus leaving your imagination up to putting that picture in your mind. I shuddered several times during this book and while I finished reading it several days ago, it still haunts me. Would I read it again? No, I don't think so. Would I read another of this author's books? Maybe. Curiosity and all that. I have never been asked to give stars for my reviews but I'd give this one 5 stars and a warning...if you can't handle morbidity, this is not the read or you.
