Mine is all a shiny, sleek black.
A Clean Sweep!
This is an Amazon Vine Review
I love the Vax Cordless Upright U91-LF Series, but when I first received it that was not the case. The problem being it is advertised with "full size cleaning performance" which is a little misleading. Please allow me to explain. After putting the three parts together and charging up the battery (both quick and easy) I took it for a spin. It felt oddly light compared to my current standard sized (heavy) vacuum cleaner. Of course that is the idea, but somehow in the back of my mind it felt like it wasn't powerful enough to thoroughly pick up all the dirt. I think it is rather expensive for what it is, approx £200, but because this is a review product I did my job and stuck it out, whereas I may have sent it back had it been otherwise. I'm glad I didn't because once I got used to it being different I completely changed my mind how I felt about the Vax Cordless Upright. I even discovered a new love for a job I despise nearly as much as non-alcoholic beer.
It's powerful, but not overly so, which means for me it will never replace a full size vacuum cleaner. However, once I got it into my head that this is really a glorified handheld holding about the same amount of fluff and dirt - not an awful lot - I began to see the benefits. It's more compact, and because of its lightness less bothersome to get out to use, therefore I hoover much more often. I have two dogs (read lots of dog hairs) and it picks this up and other gritty bits with no bother. The Vax Cordless Upright has two settings for work on the both the hard surface of my kitchen floor and my carpets. It fits in smaller areas, under tables and chairs, and in my minuscule downstairs toilet, whereas my large upright doesn't even come close. The dirt container has a quick release button, a separator and filter. Like I said it may not hold as much, and I did have to get my fingers in the fluff to empty it completely, but I love the plug in and go aspect of it. I have the battery charger permanently out so I can quickly recharge the battery so the vacuum is always ready. The Vax has an LED indicator which shows when fully charged and the remaining energy capacity at 75% with three bars lit, 50% with two bars and finally with a single flashing bar indicating less than 25% power - so it's easy to tell when it needs a quick recharge. For my needs this product gets five stars despite having to empty it out after each FULL use, because it does what all other handheld vacs do, but with the additional bonus of not having to bend down to use it. It's cordless, upright and has fade free power and a six (yes, 6!) year guarantee. If the price doesn't scare you and like me you like gadgets, then I'm sure you'll love the Vax Cordless Upright U91-LF Series. Also, I have to mention that when friends and family come round it's handy to have it on display since everyone wants to have a go, and if it's fully charged all the time, ready and waiting, you can get your floor hoovered for free! I do! :)
