It's amazing what finding a mate can do for a man. Since claiming Brenden, the turmoil inside Dante has lessened and his control expands in regard to his happiness. Now if the world would cooperate and the Pure Borns would get off their high horses and let the Drones live in peace, well, life would be peachy. Of course that's all wishful thinking, especially since his mate is now a "wanted" man. Dante will do what he has to to protect the rest of the clan, but can he protect his mate?

Brenden has worked to develop a new weapon against the Pure Born that will decimate them in droves. Now he's got a price on his head, a mate who wants to keep him in swaddling, "underlings" who consider him "the boss", and an ache in his soul for revenge. Whole clans of Drone Vampires are disappearing and rumor has it the Pure Born government is behind it. Now he can pursue that revenge with steadfast determination.

These are getting more interesting as they get farther into the "story". I have to say that Ms. Hecht has a most vivid imagination when it comes to creating these situations for her characters and none of them seem to become repetitive. With descriptives that paint pictures of very vivid scenes of terror and destruction, she still manages to weave those of love, tenderness, and compassion throughout to make it a tale that is realistic as well as entertaining.
