Marcus wanted a cowboy to love and while traveling through Texas thought he'd found the epitome' of one. In his black jeans and cowboy hat, Kent presented the picture of exactly what he was looking for. Only Kent was a true cowboy in that he was cold and withdrawn,
addicted to the bottle and less than enthusiastic in bed.

As much as Marcus thought he was too needy for his cowpoke, when he found Luke hiding out in the barn, the attraction was immediate. Luke did the things Marcus needed,was warm and loving, but for the life of him, he couldn't just leave Kent; so what's a guy to do?

I found this one a bit slow going in the very beginning, but in true J.M. Snyder fashion once the characters were all "on stage", things became very intriguing. You have the stoic, the needy and the "younger man" who embroil themselves in life in a rather unusual fashion. I
wanted to reach into the book and work it out for them,the characters came across so true to life. I've always enjoyed J.M. Snyder's works and this one is another prime example of really good writing.
