Well, when Holly (Hard-ass) Mitchell finds out her boss has done exactly that with her promotion as the prize, she is to say the least- unhappy. But being a woman who thrives on challenges, decides to give it her all. Then she signs up for this little fantasy thing and finds out that her wish to be dominated can be thoroughly fulfilled. It's when she finds out who did the fulfilling that things get really interesting.
Having enjoyed their email sparring, Tristen Reese jumps on the opportunity to fulfill Hard-ass's fantasy as it gives him a one-up on her and their competition. Since Holly has never met him and therefore doesn't know who's doing the fulfilling, things are cool, until he meets her, that is. Holly isn't the person everyone thinks she is and that makes it hard for Tristen to lie to her.
Full of humor, veracity, mind-blowing sex, and sheer pugnacity, this was one I enjoyed from beginning to end. I loved the fact that Ms. Bishop showed not only the strength, but also the vulnerability of both characters as they discovered that sometimes it's not so hard to give in when love is the prize. Throughout this battle of the sexes- business style- the realism only added to the fun.
