Trail Thoughts is a delightful book full of a year's worth of daily devotions. Preface written by Eric Kampmann. Scriptures come from the Holy Bible: New International Version. Bibliography supplied enabling the reader to broaden their knowledge of the concepts Mr. Kampmann provides for each day of the year.
Three indexes are included: Old Testament Scripture References, New Testament Scripture References and Subject Index. The Old and New Testament Scripture References supply the Scripture text for each day's devotion.
The Subject Index is a good tool for using the Trail Thoughts devotions as a study guide for the Bible of your choice. Listed under topic headings such as Abundance, Divine Justice and many more is the day's date and Scripture text so the reader can cross reference the devotional by subject, read what Mr. Kampmann has learned in his spiritual walk with God, and compare the
lesson with what the Bible has to say.
Eric Kampmann's book is a little different from other devotionals I've used in that not only does he offer the above indexes, the entries clearly describe what he has learned rather than offer an anecdote. I recommend Trail Thoughts to any person desiring to learn more about the Lord and how He deals with man.
