A weekend in the country, a big Manor and what she hopes is a great chance to meet Mr. Right at what she believes to be a "Hippie, 60's" weekend. That's what Daisy Leaf (uh huh, yep, that's what I said) thought she was getting. Reality? Not anywhere close, but maybe that cool "Father" in charge of everything might just do.

As soon as Daisy made her precipitous entry into the manor, Jake knew he was in trouble. He just didn't know how much, how often, or how much. He didn't care or want it to end. Being in charge of Bedlingham Manor was a full-time job and things have gotten really interesting during this mystery weekend.

A smart, sassy woman, a witty, vulnerable man, murder mysteries, sheep (that one'll get ya) and humor so well written as to make me laugh aloud. That's just the beginning of the things that abound in this book. Let's not forget boiler rooms, closets, stunning sex and an unheated swimming pool to make this a read of incomparable wit, vitality and a lesson in the priority of love. Daisy makes you want to hug her, Jake to maybe slap him (once, at least) and the rest of the characters simply are a ménage of unbelievable pomp and style.
