As an accountant you should be able to report discrepancies to your boss—right? Not if he and a crooked cop are in cahoots and you've just become a liability. So now Josephine Lomax is on the run, eventually running into William. Though he brings tremendous passion into her life, when she discovers his line of work she runs again.

Running into Josephine in a totally unexpected place, William Rutledge is slow to inform her what he does for a living. When he tells her he's a cop, she disappears and he's left not only unable to forget her, but unable to find her. When he does, he receives the surprise of his life, but there's still the problem of why she's running. As far as William's concerned there's nothing they can't fix and no reason for her to ever leave.

Nothing like a bit of skullduggery to set the mood on a good read. I love it when a woman can outwit a man (they give us so little credit), take care of herself and hide in the weirdest places. The Rutledge men are (pardon this) absolute foxes, the situations novel, while possessiveness, intensely erotic lovemaking and humor weave throughout this tale of love "Wolfie Style" and keep you turning the pages, but groaning when you get to the end. I do wish these were longer, but then I'm a bit of a pig when it comes to books.
