When Tobias takes Noah to Paris to play, sight see and simply explore their relationship as well as discuss their contract, is where things get truly interesting. In an unexpected twist, ex-lover Phantom and Noah develop a strong friendship with very sexy overtones. When they all try to help Phantom maintain some semblance of mental health, developments lead to intriguing decisions.
I must say that each of these simply gets better. More complicated, but absolutely, deliciously better. I've been treated to watching a relationship develop from the very base stages, grow to include friendship, stability, trust, jealousy, but mostly an unbounded love, that while there are problems these are dealt with in an adult, intelligent manner. For me, however, it was the vulnerability that each character allowed to be displayed that captured my attention. These are definitely keepers.
