When you're a witch and you like bikes and bad boys, it tends to make you stand out a bit. So in everything else Lee Gibson is trying to behave in a normal manner (normal as she can for her, that is), which means the were she's found on one of her midnight strolls is not someone to become attached to. One night of hot, screaming sex does NOT mean she's moving in; though her heart and her head are still arguing on that one.
Having found out the hard way that women don't take to the wolf when he comes out to play, Jeremy Blake has given up all hope of having a normal life of hearth and home. Until the night a small feisty redhead tells him to forget trying to scare her, that is. Now there's no way he's going to let this witch with an attitude walk out of his life; not while he knows she's the one woman unafraid of his beast.
This is probably one of the few times that a read had me rooting for the man from the first few pages. I found the needs, betrayals, strengths, fears, and ultimately the love they found as they worked out the relationship to be a totally enthralling read. It was for me an all too quick read as it seemed to end far too soon. Ms. Bern has given me one to put on my top shelf.
