What do you do when you're forty-five, widowed and your life seems like it isn't much of a life at all? Tess Garrity decided to take a vacation in the mountains and make some life-changing decisions. She hadn't counted on the owner of the cabin becoming a part of the process.
Having spied his new neighbor, Daniel Rios has become totally enamoured of the foxy woman living in the cabin he built. Before he can better his acquaintance with the lovely Tess, he has to get rid of the woman who invited herself back into his life. He's planning to show Tess that love is worth a second try, but only if it's with him.
This was a really good read in that Ms. Carlysle has given me not one, but two vulnerable people drawn to each other almost against their will. A strong man afraid he's not what she needs and an older woman afraid of humiliation. I love the idea of the older woman/younger man as it seems only fair that women now get their chance to shine (especially the over-forty ladies) as sexy, exciting, giving individuals willing to try new things, explore their sexuality, while still giving us a strong personality. Kudos to you for making the giant leap to the over-thirty ladies. A definite keeper.
