She just couldn't do it, she couldn't inflict pain on another person, she also could not give another man control over her.
Matt had been her first love and she had been his. It had been so long ago. She had refused marriage when he had asked since she was raising her two little brothers and he was destined to play college football then play for a professional team. Now retired he had moved back just shortly after she had been brutally beaten by her Dom husband. She had spent a long time in therapy while he learned to be a Master from the best, her brothers. He would go to any lengths to make her his, even being her slave.
This is a wonderful story of age old love getting a second chance. As young lovers, each other's first, they had been forced apart by circumstances. Twenty years later they just might have a second chance if she could overcome the emotional damage her first husband had caused, and if he could accept her as she was. It was a great addition to this series, and even though it seem like the end I hope Ann Jacobs will continue to spin some tales revolving around Roped and Lassoed. Each one has stirred the fires and evoked wonderful feelings in the heart.
