Remy was an ex-navy seal. He was still very close friends with all of his team, and sometimes even worked with them on security issues since Max and Nicco ran a security company in New York. He also ran a bar in Key West with Cory the widow of his long time best friend from the neighbourhood they grew up in New Orleans.
He had always loved Cory ever since they were kids but joining the Navy made relationships impossible. The one night he spent with her nine years ago he felt
maybe they had a future, until three months after he shipped out he got the announcement that she had married Anton. Now Anton was gone and he wanted a second chance.
Cory loved Remy and always had but she had secrets that kept her away from him. They worked together but she would never let down the wall to her emotions to let him near, because if he ever found out her secrets he would hate her and she could not bare that pain.
When the damn finally breaks the emotions flow both ways as gale force winds blow the past wide open. Now maybe some mending can happen and a second chance might be possible for both of them. Intense is the only word that comes to mind for this story of love and devotion, of not only Remy and Cory but the entire seal team and their life mates as trouble seeks to destroy happiness. I am hopeful there will be more to the series because we still want to keep up with all their lives and Mac has a long recovery.
