The first in a series of three based in Kingdom City. Edna Emily Argent Rella runs a BDSM business. She needs the money but the job is only an act. She has a reputation to uphold of being the Wicked Stepmother, even though it is all based on lies. When her life is threatened and the Queen her stepdaughter sends the guards, she doesn't know if the Queen wants her dead or has forgiven her and wants to help.

The Captain of the Guard is not a submissive but poses as one in order to get near Edna. Will she be able to pull off the persona of Mistress in his presence or will fear of his dominance keep her from pulling the wool over his eyes.

A fun little fantasy novel, with shades of fairytale thrown in. A good light read with only a small amount of BDSM in the mix. A great bedtime story for those that like a little light hearted spice.
