At the office Valentine's Day party Tempest finally got the courage to make a play for her soon to be ex-boss Layton. She had already resigned so she would only be working for him for two more weeks.

Layton wanted more from her, now that she was not going to be his employee he wanted a life long relationship, he wanted a family. She was getting older and wanted a child but no romantic entanglements. After losing her fiance in an auto accident she felt she could never love again. When their one-night stand became a pregnancy they had a lot to work out.

A wonderful romance even though neither person could bring themselves to trust the other with their hearts. A lot of internal struggle with pride and trust issues led to many conflicts. The passion and dialogue was well written and the story was good till the end. With Layton (Hawk) having seven brothers and a sister I am looking forward to hearing more from the Greyhawk family.
