Douglas Grey O' Toole was an agent of the Special Investigations Agency and he had a job to do. A professor had gone missing, either was abducted by unseen forces or he was a traitor who had run. He was briefed on the job and told to contact Dorcas "Dorky" Shannigan for information on the professor, and the top secret information he had disappeared with. Dorky was an information operative with a voice and wit that always made Grey's body stir in a wonderful way. He always enjoyed talking to her but this time he wanted to finally meet Dorky, because she was suspected of assisting the good professor in his disappearance.
Meanwhile, evil paranormal forces are on the rampage and threaten to destroy anything that gets in their way of completing their search for Dorky. When she turns to him for help a battle to survive ensues. With all the secrets Dorky holds, would it have been safer for Grey if they had never met?
A very interesting take on other dimensions were fairy and elf live. I found the story thrilling with mystery and passion. Combined with the fairy and elf aspects it was a fantasy come to life. There were not as many special powers attributed to the fairies as in other romances but it made a more likable heroin in this case. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey to the other realm and all the creatures they met along the way.
