Looks like the beginning of a good series.


Werewolf Elizabeth has lived alone most of her life blending in with humanity. Her entire family was murdered by vampires when she was a young child and she remembers very little of the stories of her heritage. When she began changing at puberty she had to hide her identity from foster families, and continued to isolate herself. As a writer she pens a book about the protectors, werewolves killing vampires to keep humanity safe.

The book got the attention of other werewolves especially the King Samuel Woods. Tracking her down he arrives in upstate New York just in time to save her from a vampire attack, aided by his ability to communicate telepathically with her. This telepathic link is a sure sign that they are life mates. Now that he has found her he must convince her that they belong together.

Review
In the midst of vampire attacks, injuries, and traitors, Elizabeth and Sam become dependent on each other. The attraction they felt at the beginning blooms in their hearts and minds as adversity brings them in intimate contact. The love story is one of animal attraction and instinctive need for bonding, even though Elizabeth must mentally adjust to the idea of depending on someone.

It is well written and the main characters have passion and strength. The sub characters we barely get to know have such potential and the ongoing concept of reuniting werewolves like Elizabeth who are virtually living in hiding will keep the story line going. Of course there will always be vampire on the attack as well. I am looking forward to more development in this close knit community.
