Katie finally gets a chance at intimacy with her big brothers best friend and partner on the police force. A few weeks after a violent assault on her soon to be sister-in-law, in which Katie shoots the attacker Ben decides to check on Katie to make sure she is alright. Catching her at home, ready for bed in a short nightie she decides to go straight into seduction mode. Ben is torn with what he want and his loyalty to his friend, but in the end desire wins.

Their relationship is off and running but what about the family issues and the secrets Ben has kept hidden from all those who know him. Will the secrets drive Katie away as Ben fears, or will his partner kill him for touching his baby sister.

This is story about Katie and Ben, however it is also a story of family. Each member of the Daniel’s family and some of Ben’s are brought into the story and each has a romantic twist that I am sure we as readers want to know more about. The glimpses are scattered through out the book instead of just in the epilogue, which is quiet refreshing. We get to know them on a deeper level than with most books. And quite a sensual family they are.

The sex sizzles in a playful dominate/submission fashion. The dialogue is well written and keeps readers involved in the dynamics of the relationships between lovers, siblings, and friends with lots of laughter. I look forward to getting to know them more in subsequent books.
