Claire was having a crisis and needed help from her good friend Blake in the most desperate way. Once the doctors has told her see was quickly running out of time to have children due to a hormonal issue she did not want to waste any more time. She wanted Blake to take her virginity and give her a child.

Blake had had the hots for her since she tutored him in college but had never wanted to endanger their friendship with a sexual relationship because of his kinks. He could easily imagine her in submission to him and it was driving him crazy. The problem was he already considered her family and did not want to lose her because of his cravings.

When she knocked on his door and asked him to make her pregnant he was stunned. He had to let her know it would not be a regular tame relationship. He decided to test her suitability to the dominant/submissive lifestyle he need her to be a part of. If the passed the three days of testing he would not only father her child but marry her as well and make the relationship permanent. He doubted she would go through it.

I loved the book. The relationship Blake and Claire share even before the addition of the sexual element is one of deep caring. Blake points out that even as a friend he could not let Claire down, he would have to help her. It is sad that there relationship had lasted 15 years since college and had not progressed to this final stage of loving.

Now that they have a chance to see where it leads the future is up to them. It is well written with enough surprises that it is never dull. The sexual scenes are written with taste and are tender as well as controlling. There is also that great internal struggle that they each go through along this road to discovery. Is this really what they want, need, can accept. It is a great read.
