484. TIP OF THE WEEK – From Writers Readers. com ~ The Community of Independent Authors!

From Jerry D. Simmons WritersReaders.com

TIP OF THE WEEK
Phil Harris is an author, nationally syndicated columnist, and talk show host. His advice to writers: Let your inner self be your guide, think from the heart, never force your writing. Visualize and be passionate about your writing.
Don’t prepare yourself for rejection, this is a mindset. Have faith in what you write and know that people will love it. Keep a positive attitude. Read Phil’s blog at http://philipharris.blog.com

Everyone who purchases a May 12th Seminar ticket before March 31st will receive a free written evaluation of their book, sales materials, marketing plan or whatever they choose, by professionals Jerry has worked with previously in New York. This is A ONE-TIME OFFER.

ALL THE WAY FROM JOHANNESBURG
That’s right, an author friend of mine who lives in South Africa has rearranged her US schedule so she can attend the May 12th Writers Seminar, I just had to tell everyone.

AUTHOR PROFILE
Let me introduce a member of our global Independent Writing Community. Andy D. Kemp is an artist, sculptor, photographer, and writer living in Brittany France. He states on the links page of his website, “One of the hardest things for Independent Writers is getting themselves noticed.”

Andy’s current projects include a series of short stories for children titled “Wizbon Magic” to be released on CD, a poetry and picture book “Just A Little Rainbow,” and two other books “Bristol Fashion in Bombay,” and a fictional story titled “Dubois Door.” He also does illustration and graphics, commissioned artwork and photography for books, CD covers, for organizations and private clients.

When you visit Andy’s website you’ll notice a pleasant visual experience because he uses what is called BLV. The reduced screen glare which allows pictures to appear deeper in color and the written word is more readily absorbed. His website can be found at www.beauxreflets.com .

You may contact Andy by email andy.beauxreflets@aliceadsl.fr

NEW WEST VALLEY WRITING GROUP
The West Valley Reader’s Writing Group is a continuation of the success of its predecessor workshops. Since 2002, three generations of writing groups have seen no fewer than (8) of its writers publish. This year it has begun a new concept for a writing group: reading because the most successful authors believe the best writers are the best readers. The group is open to proactive novelists/memoirists with completed manuscripts and facilitator approval. The number accepted is capped lower than other years, and is expected to close out soon. Plans for another section are underway. Meets once a month. Free! Details visit its 10-age website:
www.NewCactusQuills.com .
