He's spent over ten years trying to make a new life; he did his time, saw a shrink, worked hard to make a good business. He's got a new house and a new lover, but nothing is working because he hasn't stopped loving the man he tried to kill all those years ago- Angelo, his beautiful Angel.

Now the man who brought him and Angelo together is coming up for parole. Marshall isn't about to let Hal Makin out if he can help to keep him behind bars, but sometimes things don't always go according to plan.

I adore Mr. Manly and his work, but was a wee bit concerned as well as excited when this one came up for review- sometimes sequels aren't quite as good as the first ones. Well, I needn't have worried as I was drawn in from the first page and didn't stop reading until it was over. I like that he always allows the seamier side of life to "intrude" as it does in the real world and yet it's never overpowering. The sex is great, but the people themselves make the book.
