Nora Huggins is an amateur sleuth in her home town. She is also involved in many of the town's organizations. As a member of the local PTA, Nora and four other women are meeting in the teacher's lounge at Eastport High when one of the women doubles over with horrible cramps.

Due to Nora's ingrained curiosity, it did not take her long to learn several other people are suffering the same ailments and she begins her investigation in the where/when/how of the matter. Investigations are never smooth, but Nora's holds another handicap: that of having to be very quiet about what she is doing so the public will not learn about the stomach attacks and where they began. Will she be as successful as she was in her last case?

The thing I liked most about this story is how -- when I thought the villain was nabbed -- something else happened to make me doubt my own senses. I loved the way the story kept me guessing until the end. AND I loved the clean language in prose and dialog.
